Everton ‘lead four-way race’ for Manchester City starlet
Everton are ahead in the race for Manchester City’s highly-rated young defender Tosin Adarabioyo, according to reports.
Adarabioyo’s contract talks with City have reportedly stalled, and the Daily Mail claims that the Toffees are ready to make a swoop.
If no agreement is found between Adarabioyo and City, he will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season, but the Sky Blues will be entitled to a compensation fee.
The 19-year-old’s current contract expires in the summer, and Ronald Koeman allegedly wants a deal sealed before the end of month.
However, Spurs, Celtic and Leicester are all said to be tracking Adarabioyo’s situation, and could also step up interest.
City rate the full-back highly, and he has made three senior appearances under Pep Guardiola so far this season.
Adarabioyo has been at the club since the age of five, and there is still a possibility that Guardiola could call upon him to fix his defensive issues.
