Everton exclusive: Talks re-open to sign Arnaut Danjuma as Sean Dyche greenlights deal after Tottenham rejection
Everton are in talks with Arnaut Danjuma over a shock move just six months after he controversially snubbed a move to Goodison Park, TEAMtalk understands.
Villarreal attacker Danjuma was on the verge of joining Everton in the January transfer window only for Tottenham to hijack the move at the eleventh hour.
The Netherlands international had even passed a medical at Everton before Tottenham lured him away with the offer of Champions League football in a last-gasp swoop.
Danjuma endured a frustrating spell on loan at Tottenham and the North London opted against making his move permanent at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old made just 12 appearances during his time at Tottenham, with only one of them as a starter as Danjuma found himself playing under three different managers in Antonio Conte, Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason.
Villarreal are open to letting Danjuma move again this summer and Everton are keen to finally bring the versatile attacker to Merseyside.
Everton boss Sean Dyche is in the market for attacking reinforcements this summer. Indeed, the Toffees are also in talks over signing Leeds United winger Willy Gnonto.
Now, Dyche has given the green light for the club to pursue a move for former Bournemouth man Danjuma.
